Artiste manager Bullgod has stated that his grudge against former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is deep, because under his watch, he lost some investment in the now-defunct Menzgold Limited.

In an interview on Joy Prime on Wednesday, October 1, Bullgod disclosed that he lost GH₵1 million when Menzgold was shut down under Akufo-Addo’s administration.

When asked directly whether he holds personal issues against the former president, he responded without hesitation: “Yes. Because under his watch, I lost a million cedis at Menzgold,” he said.

Bullgod explained that just as national issues like illegal mining (galamsey) are attributed to the sitting president, the Menzgold situation should also be seen as the responsibility of the government in power at the time.

“This regime… if anybody comes in to attack us right now, whose responsibility is that? So you should understand that if you want to shut down Menzgold, fine. But give it time, make sure Menzgold pays out everybody,” he argued.

He said the manner in which the government shut down the company was unfair, adding that it left thousands of customers stranded and heartbroken.

He mentioned that the damage went beyond financial losses, as many victims lost not only their investments but also their marriages, businesses, and, in some cases, their lives.
