Celestine Donkor, Krymi and Reggie Rockstone have reacted to the assault

Several Ghanaian celebrities have spoken out after a viral CCTV video showed a soldier in plain clothes violently attacking civilians inside a pharmacy believed to be located at Burma Camp.

The video, which was shared by GHOne TV on October 29, 2025, showed the ‘angry man’ storming into the pharmacy, confronting the shop attendant, and then attacking a female customer who was waiting to be attended to.

Reports indicate that the incident began when the man demanded a refund of GH¢65.00 for medication he had sent a boy to buy on his behalf.

When the attendant explained that the drugs sold could not be returned, the man is said to have become furious and got violent.

In the footage, he is seen slapping the woman multiple times before turning his aggression toward the male attendant behind the counter.

Even after being restrained by others, the man pursued the woman outside, returned to the shop, and grabbed a metallic ladder, appearing to threaten the staff while insisting on the return of his money.

Eyewitnesses who tried to intervene were also shoved aside during the confrontation.

Since the video went viral, music producer Streetbeatz criticised the soldier’s behaviour, indicating that his arrogance would lead to his downfall.

“The spirit that made him act like that is the same spirit that’s gonna stand aside and laugh at him when he is being stripped off his uniform,” he wrote.

Veteran Hiplife musician Reggie Rockstone, also commenting, said such incidents are exactly why he insists his children learn self-defense.

“This is why I teach my children martial arts. All must learn some self-defense! We go die together or he go die, but Jah knows one of us coming up! Whaaaat,” he posted.

Singer Krymi, joining the conversations online, said he was upset after watching the footage, saying the man deserved to be ‘lashed’ before even facing trial.

“The more I watch the video, the more I want them to lash him ankasa before throwing him in jail for beating the innocent woman. Military police should do the needful,” he commented.

On his part, Comedian DKB mocked the man’s overreaction, joking that if the amount had been any higher, the entire pharmacy might have been destroyed.

“Only 65 cedis and this? I had a similar issue — it was 420gh. I’m sure he would have burnt the place down. Soldier banza,” he wrote.

Gospel musician Celestine Donkor expressed concern for the man’s family, particularly his wife, stating that if he could assault strangers so violently over such a small issue, then she fears for him.

“Eii, if this man can do this because of 65gh, I feel sorry for his wife. She will collect beatings paa. I can’t wait to see the part where he’s arrested. Wanna see this ego and foolishness behind bars,” she stated.
