Some Ghanaians on social media have called for the arrest and interdiction of the suspected military man who was caught on video physically assaulting two people at a pharmacy on October 29, 2025.

The suspect, who was in plain clothes, stormed the pharmacy at Burma Camp to demand a refund of about GH¢65.00 after rejecting medication he had sent a boy to purchase on his behalf.

The attendant reportedly informed him that drugs sold are non-refundable, which infuriated the man and led him to assault both the attendant and the woman.

The visibly angry man, while exchanging words with the attendant, pushed a female customer who was also present in the shop and began physically assaulting her.

He landed several slaps on the woman’s face before proceeding to punch and slap the male attendant, who was behind the counter, as well.

Despite attempts by other people to calm down the alleged military man, he refused to stop and went after the female customer, who had by then exited the shop after the assault.

After exiting the shop to further attack the woman, the man returned and grabbed a metallic foldable ladder already in the pharmacy and appeared to threaten the shop attendant while demanding his money.

The incident has sparked massive public outrage, with many Ghanaians condemning the incident.

They are calling for swift action to be taken against the suspected military officer to serve as a deterrent to others.

Critics have also highlighted the growing trend of military brutality, questioning why the man went on a rampage over such a trivial issue and a small amount of money, especially when he was unprovoked, as captured on video.

Others have praised the existence of the CCTV footage, noting that the man could have gotten away with his actions and denied ever doing so.
