Rapper Joey B took a moment during his performance at ‘Accravangaza’ to acknowledge his colleague Lil Shaker as the person who made his music career possible.

Joey B paused his performance and turned to the crowd to express his deep gratitude to Lil Shaker, who was on stage with him.

“Lil Shaker is the guy who got me started. I’ve mentioned it in my interview countless times: there would never have been a Joey B without Lil Shaker,” he said.

He then shared how their journey began, recalling how Lil Shaker discovered him during his school days.

“I was in school when Shaker came looking for rappers, and I decided to avail myself. He has supported me ever since that time,” Joey B added.

The moment was met with loud cheers from the audience at the event.

The two rappers then went on to perform some of their biggest collaborations, including ‘Who Dey Eat’ and the new one by DJ Vyrusky, ‘Good Girl.’

Lil Shaker, a respected figure in the Ghanaian Hip-hop culture, was a major force under BBNZ Live and played a key role in nurturing some of the young talents in the Hip-hop space at the time.
