    A Nigerian mother has delivered what may be the most dramatic response to an ear piercing in recorded history, and the internet has not recovered since.

    A young woman identified as Chiamaka became the unlikely star of a viral moment this week after her mother discovered that she had pierced her ears in not one, not two, but five different spots. The mother’s reaction, captured in a voice note and shared on X by user @Teeniiola, has been making people laugh out loud across the platform since it started circulating.

    The voice note wasted absolutely no time. “Don’t contact me! Never you call me your mother again! I cannot be a mother to a rascal!” the woman declared, her voice carrying the full weight of a woman who felt her parenting had been personally disrespected. She continued, asking what people would say if her daughter came home, and pointing to all the suffering she had been through on behalf of her children, only for Chiamaka to go and puncture her ears in five places.

    It was that number that really seemed to push her over the edge. “Five! Chiamaka five! Chiamaka five! Chiamaka!” she repeated, as though saying the name enough times would help her process the betrayal.

    The comments section delivered its own highlights.

    The video which was shared in X by @Teeniiola has stirred hilarious reactions from netizens:

    @Gabmetax: Na the 5 dey vex her pass.

    @misielarri: Chiamaka you want to kill her why naw

    @Barnabato001: Chiamaka 5 star general.

    @main_baron: my mama go don bl33d am since

    @petithazard2: She suppose give u back hand self.

    @AdegboyeBodunde: Wayward child.

    @Slow_Burnn: Na why I no dey rate “razz girls” see the kind emotional damage mama dey go through.

    @it’s_xoxo_sharon: Lol some Nigerian mothers can be so dramatic.

    @revjonesfx:  You see the way they are supporting her in the CS, Omo we are doomed o So respecting your parent now and your parent correcting you is dramatic? Wow okay na.

    @DivineSun43325: You should have a level of respect for your parents since you still live under their roof and they provide for you. They have expressed that they do not like too many piercings or certain attitude so why not wait until you are independent before making that decision?
