Ghanaian Highlife musician and television personality, Akosua Agyapong, has called on single people to have sexual affairs before they tie the knot.

In a discussion on JoyPrime on April 10, 2025, Akosua Agyapong explained that having sex before marriage allows couples the opportunity to know each other’s fantasies.

She emphasised that it can also save couples from having extramarital affairs and divorce.

“For me, sex before marriage is very important. I say that for a reason; we were all brought up differently. And you can go into marriage and be miserable for the rest of your life if you don’t know the one you said I do to.

“Imagine I get married, which says for better for worse or till death do us part, and after the expensive wedding, I got to know that my husband can’t erect or has a smaller manhood, how do I stay in the marriage?” she said.

Akosua Agyapong also argued that adultery is more serious than fornication.

“Adultery is more serious than fornication because fornication is when two concerned adults agree to have sex. Sometimes, we make Christianity so hard to worship God,” she added.
