He added that win or lose, the opportunity itself is a victory for his Shatta Movement and every youth who believes in the path of hard work, consistency and faith.

If “Street Crown” passes the initial screening and advances through the Grammy ballots, Shatta Wale would formally become a nominee at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The song, released as part of the Voice of the Crown EP, has already generated buzz locally and internationally, with many fans hailing the song for its originality, message and production quality.

For Shatta Wale, who has long been one of Ghana’s most controversial yet influential figures in music, this development adds another chapter to his longstanding career, earning him his own first-ever Grammy nomination.
