Accompanying the video was a short but emotional farewell message in which the presenter announced the end of his radio journey.
“I ended my radio journey today. Goodbye. Bless you,” he wrote.
During his final broadcast, DJ KA appeared visibly emotional as he hosted listeners for the last time.
The singing DJ used the opportunity to play music from highlife legend Amakye Dede while reflecting on his time in the media space.
He also paid tribute to his close friend and content creator, Alexis De Godson, as he brought his radio career to a close.
The emotional scenes have since attracted attention from fans and colleagues who have followed DJ KA’s career over the years.
DJ KA’s decision to leave radio comes months after a private video involving him and Kumasi-based radio presenter Ama Parone surfaced online.
The footage emerged in July 2026 and generated significant public attention on social media.
On July 24, Ama Parone confirmed that she was the woman seen in the video and subsequently apologised to her family, colleagues, listeners and the general public.
She explained that the footage was from the past and appealed to the public not to define her entire life based on the incident.
Ama Parone also acknowledged DJ KA for the support and mentorship he had provided her during her career.
It remains unclear whether the viral incident played any role in DJ KA’s decision to leave radio, as he did not publicly link his departure to the controversy in his farewell message.
For now, DJ KA has officially closed a significant chapter of his career, leaving fans to reflect on his contribution to Ghana’s radio and entertainment space.
