Ghanaian boxing fans are set for an exciting night of action as popular fighters Freezy MacBones and Jonathan Tetteh headline the upcoming “The Resurrection” Fight Night scheduled for April 5, 2026 at Laboma Beach.
The event, organized by RBS Promotions in collaboration with Box Office Sports, follows the successful trial of beachfront boxing events and is expected to attract a larger audience during the Easter celebrations in La, Accra.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Box Office Sports, Alex Ntiamoah Boakye, the fight card will feature some of the best boxers from Ghana and beyond. He noted that the night will renew the traditional Ghana–Nigeria rivalry in the ring.
In the main bouts, Freezy MacBones will face Nigeria’s Jamiu Animashaun, while WBA Pan Africa champion Jonathan “Worldwide” Tetteh takes on Aziz Quartey.
Rising star Alfred Lamptey is also scheduled to meet experienced Maxwell Awuku in a warm-up bout.
Boakye added that boxing events will also take place in Kwahu and Keta during the same week as part of efforts to promote boxing tourism and attract corporate support for the sport.
