Ghanaian reggae and dancehall star Samini has shared an inspirational message with young people as he reflected on his journey in the music industry.
Taking to social media, the award-winning musician spoke about his rise to fame at a young age and how he has managed to remain relevant in the industry for more than two decades.
According to Samini, he became a star at the age of 21 and continues to thrive in the music scene at 44.
“I became a star at 21 and I’m still thriving at 44 and counting. All I can say is thank you to those who believed,” he wrote.
The veteran artiste noted that his message was particularly directed at young people in their early twenties, encouraging them to remain focused on their ambitions and life goals.
He advised them to protect their energy and attention as they grow older, stressing that maturity often brings greater clarity and reflection.
“The more mature you get the quieter you become… Let nothing that adds zero to your value drain part of you because you paid attention,” he added.
Samini is currently in the United Kingdom where he is scheduled to perform in Manchester as part of his ongoing international engagements.
