Former Premier League referee David Coote has been seen delivering parcels for courier company Evri, months after being sacked by the PGMOL and banned by UEFA.

Coote, 42, was dismissed by the referees’ body in December following the emergence of two damaging video clips.

One showed him insulting then-Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp, while another appeared to show him snorting a white substance.

The PGMOL deemed his actions untenable and terminated his contract.

In February 2025, UEFA handed him a 16-month suspension for violating the basic rules of decent conduct and bringing the sport into disrepute.

He was also stood down from officiating European matches and became the subject of a betting investigation by the FA, though Coote has denied any wrongdoing in that matter.

Rarely seen since his fall from grace, Coote resurfaced in footage from a doorbell camera, delivering a parcel to a couple in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

He has since confirmed his new role.

“I’m just trying to make an honest living. I want to get on with my life. It’s not a new long-term career.”

He added that the job helps keep him occupied and allows more time with family and friends. Coote officiated over 100 Premier League matches before his career unravelled.
