Black Sherif entered 2025 on a series of momentum, finishing the year as the unmistakable leader on Spotify’s annual charts.

The Ghanaian artiste claimed the platform’s top honours, solidifying his position as one of the country’s most influential musical exports.

Spotify’s year-end summary placed him at the pinnacle of both the Top Artist of the Year and Most Streamed Artist of the Year lists. His 2024 project, Iron Boy, continued to energise fans, earning the title of Most Streamed Album of the Year, while its standout track, “Sacrifice,” became the Most Streamed Song.

His dominance extended across the charts, with nine of his songs appearing in Spotify’s Top 10 Most Streamed Songs, a feat rarely achieved even by leading African artists.

Apple Music Ghana mirrored this success. Its Top Songs of 2025 saw the first twelve positions occupied by tracks from Iron Boy, again led by “Sacrifice.” This remarkable streak made Black Sherif the first Ghanaian artist to achieve such a commanding presence on the platform.

As fans await data from other streaming platforms, one fact is clear: Black Sherif has reached a milestone that many Ghanaian artists have long sought, cementing his status as a global force in music.
