The Trophy of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 continued its Diaspora Tour with a vibrant stop in Paris, where a colorful evening took place at the Palais de Tokyo.

This initiative aims to build a strong bridge between the African continent and its diaspora in Europe, ahead of the upcoming AFCON hosted by Morocco.

The event brought together footballers, journalists, artists, and football enthusiasts who came to celebrate “the energy of the continent, the passion of its communities, and the strong bond uniting supporters from here and elsewhere,” in line with the spirit of the tour.

The highlight of the evening was the official unveiling of the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Trophy, greeted by enthusiastic applause from a large audience.

As the highly anticipated Moroccan edition of AFCON approaches, this Paris stop marks an important moment in mobilizing support around the competition and boosting excitement among African communities living in Europe.

In a statement to MAP, Omar Khyari, Advisor to the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), emphasized that the Diaspora Tour aims to “bring together Africans living in Europe around the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.” He highlighted “the tremendous enthusiasm observed last week in London and this week in Paris,” noting that “in line with the Enlightened Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco is preparing what will be the best edition in the history of AFCON,” with the FRMF fully mobilized under the leadership of its President, Fouzi Lekjaa, to deliver a top-level competition and exceptional experience.

French journalist Hervé Penot, senior reporter for the sports daily L’Équipe, praised Morocco’s preparations, stating that this AFCON “could be one of the best ever organized on the continent.”

He emphasized the exceptional quality of the infrastructures, as well as the steady progress of Moroccan football, which has become a benchmark in Africa.

The Paris stop of the Trophy is part of a broader continental dynamic aimed at bringing people closer together, amplifying excitement, and preparing one of the most promising editions in the history of the Africa Cup of Nations.
