Ghanaian pastor (R) has chided Prophet Roja (L) for failing to thwart helicopter crash prophecy

A Ghanaian pastor has criticised preacher Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roja, over his prophecy about a flight crash earlier in 2025.

Prophet Roja had claimed that God revealed to him a vision of a domestic flight crash in Ghana.

According to him, the vision showed a plane travelling from Accra to Kumasi that would crash shortly after takeoff on July 29, 2025.

He said the crash in his vision would be severe, with fewer than 20 people surviving. Because of this, he called on Christians in Ghana to pray to avert the disaster.

The prophecy has resurfaced online following the August 6 helicopter crash that killed two ministers, Dr Edward Omane Boamah and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, along with six others.

Speaking at a vigil on August 9, 2025, the pastor lambasted Prophet Roja over how he handled the matter and questioned his credibility, saying he is not recognised as part of the prophetic ministry in Ghana.

The clergyman described the prophecy as “sorcery” and “divination,” arguing that genuine prophecy should offer a way out because “God reveals to warn, not to destroy.”

“He [Roja] is not part of the prophetic and apostolic ministry. He doesn’t understand. Even in life, when you travel, some people will ask about your credentials if they want you to preach to them. They’ll ask about your level of experience. But it’s only in Ghana that someone will just get up, go on social media, and make these kinds of statements.

“I don’t believe this is what the Lord revealed. It’s divination. I’m telling you, that Roja man should be careful. He’s not mature at all. This is not prophecy. A prophecy must have a way out. This is what we call divination and sorcery. I can stand and make a statement, and I’ll make projections, and it will come to pass,” the pastor fumed in a viral video on X.
