Multiple people are dead, and several police officers were injured after a shooting in York County, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday.
Very little is known about the shooting, in which at least five officers were shot, two of whom have been flown to the hospital.
The alleged shooter is believed to be dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound, sources told NBC10.
The Mexican Consulate said it was ‘monitoring the incident that occurred this afternoon in North Codorus Township, Pennsylvania,’ on X and that the ‘Mexican community is advised to follow official instructions.’
It is unclear why the consulate is involved in the incident.
Governor Josh Shapiro said he is on his way to the scene and asked residents to follow the directions of local law enforcement.

The Mexican Consulate said the agency is ‘monitoring the incident’ and that the ‘Mexican community is advised to follow official instructions.’
It is unclear why they are monitoring the shooting and have not confirmed if any Mexican nationals are involved.
Three in ‘grave’ condition
Three officers from the Northern York Regional Police Department are in ‘grave’ condition and another is in critical condition, according to WGAL.
A deputy with the York Sheriff’s Office has also been injured.
Hospital, school districts temporarily put on lockdown
A hospital not far from where the shooting occurred and the local district were temporarily placed on lockdown.
The district said in a statement that authorities ‘advised us to hold students and staff in our buildings as a precaution while several area roads are closed.’
The lockdowns have since been lifted.
Pennsylvania Attorney General is heading to the scene
Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday said on X that he as aware of the shooting and is heading to the scene.
‘I am aware of the ongoing situation in York County. I urge all residents to follow the instructions of local law enforcement. I am en route to the area and am praying for all involved,’ he said.
Lieutenant Governor issues statement
Lieutenant Governor Austin A. Davis posted online: ‘Please send prayers to the officers and those involved in the shooting in York County.
‘As we learn more, follow all guidance from police and stay away from the area.’

Sources told NBC 10 that the alleged shooter is dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
Authorities were reportedly serving a warrant when an alleged suspect opened fire.
Five cops have been wounded and three are in grave condition.
PA House Republicans say they are ‘troubled and deeply saddened’ by shooting
The Pennsylvania House Republicans issued a statement on X about the York County shooting.
‘We are troubled and deeply saddened by the shooting of multiple officers in York County, PA today,’ the group said.
‘We are thankful for the swift actions of all first responders and for the daily sacrifices our law enforcement officers make for our safety every day.’
Five officers injured while serving warrant, sources say
Sources told NBC 10 that five officers were shot at while serving a warrant in York County.
Three officers from the Northern York Regional Police Department are considered in grave condition, with a fourth listed in critical condition, according to the source.
A York Sheriff Deputy was also injured during the incident.
The source said the officers were serving a warrant when they were shot at by the suspect.
Shelter in place has been lifted
Schools and hospitals in the York County area were put on lock down as emergency crews responded to the ‘officer-involved incident.’
Spring Grove Area School District Schools confirmed to WGAL that they were given the ‘all clear’ from law enforcement and the order was lifted.
Governor Josh Shapiro heading to the scene
Gov. Josh Shapiro said he has been briefed on the shooting and is heading to the scene.
‘I’ve been briefed on the situation involving law enforcement in York County, and am on my way there now,’ he said.
‘We ask those in the area to please follow the directions of local law enforcement and @PAStatePolice.’
What is a Signal 13?
A Signal 13 transmission is given the highest priority, and the procedure requires the dispatcher to immediately create an incident, hold the air, and move all other traffic to another talk group.
At the same time, they determine the location of the incident and identify the problem.
