Ghanaian forward, Mohammed Kudus has scored a fantastic goal for West Ham United in their premier league game against Tottenham Hotspur on October 19, 2024.
The match which took place at the Tottenham Stadium saw both sides giving each a tough challenge until the 18th minute where Bowen crossed the ball at the edge of the eighteen yard box which Kudus shot it into the left corner of the post.
After scoring, Kudus went to do his unique goal celebration where he sat on a chair while his colleague players and the fans cheered him on.
This is the second goal for the Black Stars player who struggled to find his best form at the initial stage of the season leading to substitutions by head coach Julen Lopetegui.
In the course of the game, Kudus had a confrontation with Tottenham’s Micky Van De Ven, during which the Black Stars player could not control his anger and ended up slapping his opponent in the face.
The action caused chaotic scenes, leading players of both sides to argue among themselves.
The referee separated the players, and Kudus was initially booked with a yellow card.
After a while, the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) officials asked the referee to relook at the event, which resulted in a straight red card for the Ghanaian player.
In the end, the Hammers could not hold on to the lead as Tottenham fought back to win the game by four goals to one.
This comes on the back of a disappointing outing for Mohammed Kudus in the October 2024 international break where he captained the Black Stars to a defeat and draw against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Black Stars drew with Sudan at home and lost to them in the reverse fixture in Libya on October 15, 2024.
Days after the disappointment, Kudus offered an apology to the public on behalf of the team for the team’s failure to chalk impressive results in the qualifiers.
The midfielder, in a social media post on October 16, 2024, stated, “As someone who captained the team in the two games, it is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I issue this statement [of apology.
Kudus, however, assured fans that the team is determined to learn from their mistakes and bounce back stronger.
