Former Ghana assistant coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has expressed mixed reactions to the Ghana Football Association’s decision to expand the technical team of the Black Stars, describing the move as positive but insufficient.

The GFA recently strengthened the backroom staff with several experienced additions, including French coach Alain Ravera and Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren as assistant coaches. Spanish tactician Jose Daniel Martinez Alfonso has been tasked with scouting and match analysis, while Carlos Lozano Romero returns as physiotherapist. Performance coach Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi completes the new setup.

Speaking to Graphic Sports, Dramani welcomed the development but stressed that more personnel are needed for Ghana to compete at the highest level, particularly at major tournaments like the World Cup.

He highlighted sports science, medical support, and detailed opponent analysis as key areas requiring further investment, noting that Ghanaian teams often struggle with understaffing.

The Black Stars are currently preparing for upcoming international friendlies against Austria and Germany later this month.
