A four-year-old boy and a 79-year-old woman have been killed after a five-car crash in Lincolnshire.

Emergency services rushed to the A157 close to Grimblethorpe, Louth, following the multi-vehicle crash at around 4.30pm on Sunday, March 15.

The young boy, who was a passenger in a black Volvo XC60, died on Monday, March 23.

The woman, from Mablethorpe, who was driving a grey MG 1300, was taken to hospital following the collision but died a day later.

A Blue Peugeot 108 and a white BMW X3 were also involved in the crash while a fifth vehicle also sustained ‘collateral damage’.

Lincolnshire Police said it had carried out forensic investigations but is appealing for  witnesses to the crash or anyone who captured dashcam footage.
