Christopher Bonsu Baah has officially linked up with his new teammates at Al Qadsiah, joining the Saudi Pro League side’s pre-season training camp in the Netherlands ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

In a video shared by the club on social media on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, the 20-year-old is seen arriving at the team’s base, greeted warmly by staff and fellow players as he begins his next chapter away from Europe.

It’s Bonsu Baah’s first appearance in the Al Qadsiah squad since completing his switch from Belgian side KRC Genk earlier this week.

The promising winger signed a four-year contract worth over €16 million, keeping him at the ambitious Saudi club until 2029.

His signing and formal unveiling were finalised this week in the Netherlands, where Al Qadsiah are stepping up preparations for what they hope will be a competitive campaign in the Saudi top flight.

Despite the big move, insiders close to Bonsu Baah say a return to Europe could still be on the cards in the coming years.

The young winger remains one of Ghana’s brightest prospects, his pace and flair having caught scouts’ eyes ever since his rapid rise from Shooting Stars, a third-tier side in Ghana, to Sarpsborg in Norway in 2023.

It was in Norway that Bonsu Baah made an instant impact, playing just 12 matches before Belgian giants Genk swooped in to sign him ahead of rival European clubs.

In Belgium, he clocked up 90 appearances over two seasons, scoring five goals and providing seven assists, performances that also earned him a maiden call-up to Ghana’s senior Black Stars, where he featured in recent friendlies against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago.
