A South African referee caught the attention of fans by issuing a yellow card to a player in a unique manner.

During Mudagasi’s semifinal game against Gomora in the 2024 Philly’s Games on Tuesday, December 31, Mudagasi’s Mfanafuthi Mlotshwa seemed to have been fouled in the penalty area.

However, the referee quickly dismissed the penalty appeal, leading to an interesting turn of events.

After deeming Mlotshwa’s fall a simulation, the referee called the player over to caution him.

In a surprising move, the referee knelt down on one knee and issued the card to Mlotshwa.

This action has sparked widespread discussion among fans, with many finding it both dramatic and humorous.
