Apostle Abraham Lamptey is the Founder of Believers House of Worship

Apostle Abraham Lamptey, a well-known Ghanaian preacher, has stirred reactions online after a video surfaced of him dancing to a popular secular song, at a public event.

The Founder of Believers House of Worship was seen in the viral video trying to mimic the dance challenge to Medikal’s hit song, “Shoulder,” featuring Shatta Wale and Beeztrap KOTM.

The video was taken during Apostle Lamptey’s 60th birthday celebration on October 25, 2025, held in a beautifully decorated hall filled with chandeliers, elegant décor, and well-dressed guests.

The man of God was wearing a sleek, dark suit paired with a bow tie. Apostle Lamptey appeared in high spirits as he danced among some elegantly dressed women.

Apostle Lamptey has long been recognised for his compassion and commitment to service.

He was born into a Muslim family and was initially known as Ibrahim Odartey, the seventh of 25 children. He was raised in a military household under his father, a Warrant Officer Class One.

He attended Adiembra Primary, Aboome, and Apenkwa Presbyterian Primary before completing his basic education at Mamprobi Ebenezer School.

Apostle Lamptey’s ministry is built on the principles of love, peace, humility, and service. He often says his mission is to “give meaning to life, one soul at a time.”

He has been married to his wife, Gloria Kafui Lamptey, for more than twenty years, and together, they have three biological children and five adopted ones.
