Veteran Kumawood actor Oboy Siki has fired back strongly at his colleague Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin for claiming that only Frank Fiifi Garbin and Jackson K Bentum can direct movies worthy of international streaming platforms.

In a recent interview with Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia, Oboy Siki did not mince words as he slammed Lilwin’s remarks, insisting that the two directors Lilwin praised cannot be compared to the legendary Evangelist Samuel Nyamekye, CEO of Miracle Films.

According to Oboy Siki, Samuel Nyamekye remains unmatched when it comes to producing quality Ghanaian movies that have stood the test of time.

Touching on Lilwin’s boast about getting his movie “A Country Called Ghana” onto Amazon Prime through Frank Fiifi Garbin’s great directing skills, Oboy Siki bluntly described it as mere loose talk.

He argued that getting a movie on Amazon these days is no big deal because every fool can get his movie on Amazon.

He went further to ask Papa Jay if he had seen some of the trash currently uploaded there, stressing that the platform is flooded with substandard films.

Oboy Siki also rejected Lilwin’s assertion that directors behind YouTube skits and movies are wack.

He pointed out that those so-called proper directors Lilwin mentioned cannot do what the YouTube directors are doing today.

In his view, the new generation of online filmmakers are even more creative and hardworking than many of the old names Lilwin claims are the only ones qualified for international screens.
