Entertainment pundit, DJ Slim (pictured) says fame has gotten into King Paluta’s head

Ghanaian entertainment pundit, DJ Slim, has joined other industry players who have criticised King Paluta, following a recent incident that transpired in the UK.

King Paluta, for the past weeks, has been the topic for discussion after he was seen in a viral social media video verbally abusing a fan during a performance in the UK.

In a recent development, DJ Slim, in a discussion on GhanaWeb‘s X Space on July 11, 2025, noted that the musician’s recent attitude is due to fame.

When asked by the co-host of the Space, Joseph Henry Mensah, if King Paluta’s recent utterances resulted from him being overwhelmed with fame, DJ Slim noted that fame has eaten into the musician’s head, leading to his recent abuse of the fan.

“Absolutely! It is a result of fame. Managing an artiste is a whole business altogether. There are three components in managing an artiste, which is talent, strategy, and finance.

“Creative people are wired and they have some level of anxiety before a show. The road manager needs to act as an accountant, and a doctor, to be able to help him. And it is all box in the strategy,” he said.

DJ Slim further noted that even though King Paluta’s reactions resulted from the overwhelmingness of his stardom, there should be management to avoid such future incidents.

“I believe as much as fame has gotten to him, there is supposed to be a certain group of people around him to make sure some of these things shouldn’t make it to the public light,” he added.
