The Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, accompanied by Opare Addo, the current Minister of Youth Development ad Empowerment, and other top National Democratic Congress (NDC) officials, paid a courtesy visit to Rev. Obofour at his residence on Sunday, March 9, 2025, to commiserate with him following the death of his beloved mother, Afia Pokuaa, affectionately known as Mama Ade Special.

The atmosphere at Rev. Obofour’s home was somber, with family, friends, and members of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) still coming to terms with the loss of the revered matriarch.

Dressed in all-black outfits, the NDC delegation arrived with a quiet dignity befitting the occasion.

Rev. Obofour welcomed the high-profile guests and ushered them into his spacious hall.

As they settled, Julius Debrah, speaking on behalf of the group, disclosed that they had been sent by the President to extend the government’s condolences to the grieving pastor.

He expressed the President’s heartfelt sympathies as well.

Rev. Obofour also, thanked the delegation for their thoughtful gesture.

The passing of Mama Ade Special on Friday, February 28, 2025, has cast a shadow of grief over Rev. Obofour’s family and the larger Anointed Palace Chapel community.

The funeral is scheduled to take place on the 14 of March at th Kumasi Patasi-Brotherman Spot.
