Two HGV trailers used by brazen thieves to steal more than 70,000 pints worth of Guinness have been found by police.
But the 800 barrels of stout stolen from the depot in Runcorn, Cheshire, last Monday, have yet to be recovered.
The trailers used in the beer heist were discovered by officers in Lathom near Skelmersdale, Lancashire, some 30 miles away from where they were taken.
One trailer was abandoned in the Hall Lane area around 3am last Tuesday while the other was left on Gillibrands Road just after midday the following day, the force said.
Cheshire Constabulary are now appealing for anyone, who has been approached to buy the Irish tipple, worth an estimated £115,000, to contact the police.
Any Skelmersdale residents who have any information about the missing 70,400 pints worth of Guinness have also been urged to get in touch.
Detectives said a lorry and HGV trailer left the site with the barrels, which were awaiting delivery to pubs, at around 7.55pm.
A second lorry arrived at 9.12pm and attached another trailer carrying Guinness before driving off 18 minutes later.

Police believe one of the HGVs involved pulled out in front of a silver or white Renault Captur driven by a learner driver after disposing of the second trailer.
The drivers of the HGVs used to transport the Guinness are both believed to be men.
One thief was described as white with a short dark beard and wearing a beanie while the second crook is believed to have been wearing a cap.
Diageo, which owns Guinness, has a packaging warehouse on the Whitehouse Industrial Estate on the outskirts of Runcorn.
Detective Sergeant McClatchy previously said: ‘It is famously said that “Guinness is good for you”, but that is only the case when it has been bought and paid for.
‘It is with this in mind that we have wasted no time in launching enquires to identify those responsible for the theft of £115,000 worth Guinness and the two trailers that housed the barrels – we will settle for nothing less than the full recovery of all the items stolen.
‘As part of our investigation into fully established what has occurred, we are now appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to the theft to please come forward and speak to officers.
‘We would also ask any motorists who were driving in the area at the time of either of the incidents to please review any dashcam footage to see if you have captured anything that could aid our investigation.’
