The G2G Boxing Gym was filled with gratitude, energy, and community spirit yesterday as undefeated WBO International Super-Lightweight Title contender Ernesto “Tito” Mercado (17-0, 16 KOs) and his family hosted a Pre-Thanksgiving “Gratitude Day” in Pomona, CA. The event brought together families, fans, and future champions for an afternoon of inspiration, giving, and gloves with the extended G2G boxing family.

The event was in partnership with the Pomona Police Department’s Cops and Kids Program, and kicked off with a free lunch for community members, courtesy of MatchRoom Boxing — a nod to the season’s spirit of giving.

Attendees were then treated to “Gratitude & Glory: Inside the Ring with a Future World Champion,” a candid and inspiring conversation with Tito Mercado, moderated by DAZN’s The Fighter and The Writer hosts Chris Mannix and former World Champion Sergio Mora. Tito shared his journey from Pomona High School to becoming one of boxing’s fastest-rising stars — now just weeks away from his WBO International Title fight on December 13.

The highlight for many came as Tito and his brothers led a live boxing workout for local youth, blending training, mentorship, and motivation. Kids from the Cops and Kids program laced up gloves, hit the mitts, and experienced firsthand what hard work, discipline, and heart look like in the ring.

“This day was about giving back, plain and simple,” said Tito. “I grew up here. I walked these streets, trained in this gym, and now I want to show these kids what’s possible — not just in boxing, but in life.”

The event not only showcased Tito’s championship potential in the ring but also his growing legacy outside of it — as a role model, community leader, and hometown hero.

As he prepares for the biggest fight of his career on December 13 in Stockton, Tito’s message to Pomona is clear: This win is for all of us.
