Ghanaian rapper Obibini has once again voiced out his frustrations with the entertainment industry, describing it as “fake.”

Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM with Kwame Dadzie and Doreen Avio, the rapper expressed disappointment at how recognition is given to artistes in Ghana. According to him, despite his consistency and contribution to the music space, he still feels neglected by certain industry players.

“The industry is fake, and I don’t know what they expect from an artiste before giving them their due,” Obibini stressed.

He further explained that, over the years, he has come to realize there are two sides of the industry: “My Industry” and “That Industry.”

Obibini noted that “My industry” refers to his fans and loyal supporters who genuinely appreciate and support his craft, while “That Industry” represents the structures and individuals who constantly refuse to acknowledge his talent and efforts.

The “Yardie” hitmaker believes the lack of acknowledgment is not only unfair but also discouraging to artistes who put in hard work. He emphasized that, regardless of the challenges, he remains committed to serving his fans and staying true to his art.
