Tess Crosley has turned heads by making an emotional plea for people to leave her son out of the aftermath of her alleged role in Lachie Neale’s marriage breakdown.

In an Instagram story on Wednesday, Crosley singled out a person who insulted her in public when she was out with her child.

‘I want to make this very clear, it is never acceptable for anyone to approach a stranger in public and make derogatory comments or (aim) abuse at them, especially when they are simply trying to care for their child’s needs,’ her post began.

‘My child does not deserve to be exposed to that kind of behaviour. No child does.

‘While I navigate my own challenges, my priority remains protecting and shielding my children from unnecessary hostility and cruelty in everyday situations.’

Shortly before that, Crosley posted an Instagram image showing a new pair of maroon New Balance joggers, which happen to share the same predominant colour as the Brisbane Lions AFL jersey.

In a separate Instagram story on Wednesday, Crosley singled out a person who insulted her in public when she was out with her son

The accompanying caption read: ‘My new fave colour.’

It comes after Crosley shared another social post on April 27 which intrigued many of her followers.

The series of images on Instagram included a photo taken at a bar, accompanied by a caption featuring a love heart and a spade emoji.

The post immediately drew attention as the location appeared identical to a venue previously shared by Neale in his own social media posts.

The same band appears to be playing in both images, with Neale tagged in Crosley’s image by one of her followers.

The coincidence has sparked fresh intrigue surrounding the pair, despite Neale’s camp previously denying the pair remain in contact.

Crosley, a mother of one and former Mormon missionary, has remained largely silent throughout the fallout from the high-profile Neale split, but her social media activity has continued to generate discussion.

Details of the split first emerged late last year, with reports alleging Neale had been seen in a compromising position in a car with Crosley, who had previously been part of the couple’s close social circle.

Footy star Neale addressed the situation publicly in January, admitting fault but he declined to go into specifics.

‘I can say that I have let my family down and I apologise for my actions, which have hurt those closest to me. For that I am deeply sorry,’ he said.

The dual Brownlow Medal winner has started the season in scintillating form, and won’t be short of offers if he chooses to leave Brisbane at the end of the year.

On Sunday, Crosley’s husband Ben took to Instagram to share a carousel of images that showed him enjoying a day out at the Hamilton Island Golf Club with friends, which he captioned: ‘Closaaah.’

His golf getaway drew a flurry of comments from followers – including Tess.

She chimed in with a pinched fingers emoji that represents the Italian hand gesture, meaning ‘what do you want?’

The gesture is often used to convey exasperation, annoyance or disbelief.

Crosley also recently hinted that she may be back on the market after being spotted on celebrity dating app Raya.
