Trump’s Senate hopes take brutal hit as new poll shows Republicans could lose Kansas for first time in 94 years… and forecaster shifts more races toward Democrats: Live updates

A new poll has projected Democrat Adam Hamilton to win the Kansas Senate race in a stunning upset, potentially giving the state its first Democratic senator since 1939.

Hamilton is expected to win 52 percent of the vote, while his Republican opponent Senator Roger Marshall takes 43 percent, according to the Washington Post-Schar School poll of Kansas voters.

Control of Congress is up for grabs in the 2026 midterms, with Republicans fighting to defend their narrow majorities in both chambers as Democrats look to flip the House and Senate.

The latest projections show a stark contrast between the two parties just days before Election Day, with Democrats’ potential gains being compared to the party’s 2008 blowout victory under Barack Obama.

President Donald Trump will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida, today in a bid to rally support for Republicans, as GOP Rep. Byron Donalds runs to succeed Governor Ron DeSantis and faces Democratic candidate David Jolly.

Trump has also changed course on two rallies that were originally planned to be virtual in Kansas City and Iowa this weekend. The White House confirmed the president will take part in a blitz of at least 20 tele-rallies in the run-up to Election Day.

Meanwhile, Trump has called for Alaska Senate candidate Mary Peltola to be prosecuted over the alleged ballot sabotage plot, calling the reported scheme ‘voter fraud at the highest level.’

Poll predicts Democrat Adam Hamilton to win Kansas race

Trump’s Senate hopes take a major blow as a new poll suggests Republicans could lose Kansas for the first time in 94 years.

A new poll has predicted that Democrat Adam Hamilton will win the Kansas Senate race.

Hamilton is estimated to win 52 percent of the vote, while incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall takes 43 percent, according to a Washington Post-Schar School poll of Kansas voters.

It would be a major upset for Republicans, and Hamilton, who is a megachurch pastor, would be the first Kansas Democrat elected to the Senate since 1932.

It comes as Donald Trump has reversed his decision to cancel a rally in Kansas on election eve after facing backlash.

Police arrest 21-year-old woman threatening to shoot President Trump

Sheriff Michael J. Chitwood of the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office in Daytona Beach, Florida, confirmed authorities arrested 21-year-old Alison Albro last night for claiming online that she was going to shoot President Trump at his rally.

The post, captioned over a selfie of Albro, read: ‘Going to the Trump rally in my city tmr [sic] so I can shoot him with my glock!! Wish me luck guys!’

The Volusia County Domestic Security Unit, as well as the Secret Service, arrested the woman as a result.

‘She said she was joking with this post, she doesn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon, and she would never hurt anyone. Today she’s sitting in jail on charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device,’ Chitwood posted to X.

‘I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice.’

AOC transfers $150k to Alaska’s Mary Peltola

New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez transferred $150,000 from her campaign account to three progressive Democratic Senate candidates, according to the New York Times.

The candidates include Troy Jackson in Maine, Angie Nixon in Florida and Mary Peltola in Alaska, as confirmed by Ocasio-Cortez’s aides.

Weeks ago, she reportedly also transferred $1million to a fundraiser account for Adbul El-Sayed, the progressive Democratic Senate nominee in Michigan.

Republicans are pushing for Federal Election Commission to investigate Peltola campaign over Dan Sullivan doppelganger

Top GOP people are asking the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to investigate both the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and Mary Peltola’s campaign in connection with ‘decoy’ candidate Dan Sullivan, Semafor reported.

The new complaint is part of a Republican eleventh-hour blitz to challenge the results of Alaska’s Senate race and demands the FEC to ‘sanction to the fullest extent of the law all the violations it finds.’

What’s next for Democrat Mary Peltola as Trump demands her prosecution? Legal experts reveal what could happen in Alaska after secret plot blew up crucial Senate race

The Trump administration is on an eleventh-hour blitz to challenge the results of Alaska’s Senate race – before the election has even occurred.

The race was shaken up this week after a bombshell report found Democrat Mary Peltola’s campaign allegedly ‘planted’ a candidate with a name double of her Republican opponent Dan Sullivan in a scheme to boost her winning chances.

Her campaign – and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee – are now under a criminal investigation opened this week by the state’s Republican governor for allegedly recruiting the ‘Decoy’ Dan Sullivan.

At the same time, an ongoing civil case – filed by the Department of Justice earlier this year – is examining whether Alaska can certify the results if incumbent Dan Sullivan loses.

But legal experts told the Daily Mail that the civil case – and Trump’s calls for a federal prosecution – are unlikely to advance.

The eye-popping expenses come as national Democrats continue to push economic messaging centered on the rising cost of living for middle-class working families.
