Tennessee women’s basketball star Ruby Whitehorn was arrested on Friday on charges of aggravated burglary and domestic assault, according to a report.
Citing court records, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported that cops responded to a domestic dispute call involving Whitehorn on 4:18pm on August 8.
Whitehorn has been accused of kicking in both the bedroom and front door of the victim, while a mirror was also found shattered in the bathroom.
The fight is alleged to have begun after the victim saw Whitehorn in the parking lot and heard glass break outside of her residence.
The pair then began fighting before the victim ultimately ran inside with what she believed to her phone and locked the door behind her, according to the police report.
However, the victim had actually taken Whitehorn’s phone, and the basketball player allegedly resorted to ‘chasing her upstairs’ after kicking in the front door.

Whitehorn, meanwhile, claimed she was ‘trying to defend herself’ was ‘just getting her property back’ – accusing the victim of also taking her passport from her before going inside.
A Tennessee spokesperson told the Knoxville News Sentinel: ‘We are aware of the situation and are continuing to gather additional information.’
