Veteran actor, Kofi Adu, better known as Agya Koo, has appealed to relevant authorities to explore the DRIP project to restore the Akyem Adubease Road to good working condition.

The District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) was launched by the Akufo-Addo-led government in 2024 to provide MMDAs with state-of-the-art equipment and technical training to boost their capacities for road maintenance.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb on X, on April 1, 2025, Agya Koo called on authorities to help improve the state of the Akyem Adubease Road.

He indicated that though the road was not damaged per se, it was endangered by bushes and heaps of sand on both sides.

“As you can see, the road is in good condition. However, when you look at the heaps of sands on the shoulders of the road, it has taken over portions of the road from both sides.

“The weeds are also overgrown and this has made the available space for vehicles narrow. This could result in carnage; so, authorities should tap into DRIP to clear the mess here to avoid any unforeseen dangers in the future,” he said.
