Musician and entrepreneur Criss Waddle

Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur Criss Waddle has called out individuals who use the phrase “I’m a big fan” when requesting help on social media.

In a post shared on his Snapchat handle, the “Bie Gya” hitmaker expressed frustration over the trend of people using the term as a pretext when soliciting financial assistance.

According to him, such individuals should simply ask for help without pretending to be fans.

“Why do people always use the format ‘I’m a big fan of you,’ but I need help for school? I need help for rent? I need help for this and that? It’s annoying, please.

“Just ask without adding the fake part about being a BIG fan. Gyemie!” he posted.

Criss Waddle’s comments echo those of other celebrities who have voiced their frustration over the increasing number of financial requests from fans and followers on social media.
