Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale has expressed concerns that his fellow artiste Stonebwoy has become complacent due to fame.
In a discussion on the Rants, Bants, and Confession podcast released on October 31, 2024, Shatta Wale said the “Jejereje” hitmaker has lost his originality in his craft as a result of his success.
“Stonebwoy is just getting swollen-headed with fame, because I had an issue with Samini and not him. I don’t even have any problem with him,ā he stated
Shatta also mentioned that he has attempted to reach out to the BHIM Nation boss several times to resolve their differences, but those efforts have been unsuccessful.
“I have met him a couple of times so we can settle our differences and see how best we can promote the music industry. They are lairs so they won’t come out tell you all these,” he said.
He also criticised Stonebwoy for the past incident at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in 2019, where he pulled a gun at him on stage.
“Stonebwoy and the rest are not real, they’re full of fake people. And I hate the fact that they are not being real. Because I don’t have a problem with Stonebwoy so why should people think otherwise?
“He should have been arrested for pulling a gun on me during the VGMA’s. But he wasn’t, if I was the one I would have been jailed,” he added.
