New details have emerged following claims by MOG Beatz, who took to social media to allege that Shatta Wale had wrongfully taken production credit for songs he produced, in order to collect money from an international company without his knowledge.

In a series of posts on X on August 19, 2025, MOG stated that Shatta Wale had sold 25 songs he produced to a company named Waka Music Limited.

Subsequent checks by GhanaWeb have identified other Ghanaian artistes who have reportedly leased their music to the same company.

Although contractual documents between these artistes and Waka Music Limited have not been made public, investigation suggests that once an agreement is signed, the company acquires master recording rights for selected works by the artistes.
