Fresh controversy has erupted in the already chaotic funeral arrangements for the late music legend Daddy Lumba.

Some new billboards bearing a completely different funeral date have surfaced on major streets in Kumasi.

The billboards, which boldly display 10th March, 2026, as the proposed date for the final funeral rites, are causing a stir across social media, which is contrary to the already known December 13, 2025 date.

The 10th March 2026 date is particularly shocking because it aligns with the timeline Papa Shee has been speculating in recent weeks.

According to emerging reports, these new billboards were allegedly produced and prepared for mounting by Papa Shee, Lumba’s sister Ernestina Fosuh,
popularly known as Akosua Bimpomaa, and his uncle Wofa Poku, all acting on the instructions of Daddy Lumba’s first wife, who is based in Germany.

This development has sparked widespread surprise because it directly contradicts earlier warnings issued by Abusuapanin Kofi Owusu, the recognized family head.

Only days ago, the Abusuapanin firmly cautioned Papa Shee against publicizing any funeral dates without authorization, stressing that he would not hesitate to sue him if he went ahead to do so.

The surfacing of these new billboards suggests that Papa Shee and his faction have completely disregarded that directive.
