Shatta Wale (L) has rendered an apology to popular MC, Kojo Manuel

Following a viral video from Tidal Rave, in which Shatta Wale’s personal assistant was seen preventing popular MC Kojo Manuel from getting any radius near Shatta on stage during his performance, some aftermath happenings have emerged.

After the incident, in a video shared on X on November 17, 2025, Shatta Wale apologised to Kojo Manuel on behalf of his personal assistant, Abonko.

In the video, which followed a series of tweets, Shatta Wale explained that Abonko was merely acting according to team protocols and had no intention of disrespecting Kojo Manuel.

“Kojo Manuel, so sorryyy, but hey, Abonko is the nicest person ever. But when it comes to my work, all my team members bow because he is my second-in-command, and none of my team members come close. Sorry, he pushed you, but next time, just know that when the artiste and team step on stage, I beg you, ok,” he said.

The dancehall musician also cautioned individuals to take a lesson from what transpired at the concert.

According to him, individuals should respect artistes and their team members regardless of their status so far as stage performances are concerned.

“Kojo Manuel and my soldier Dan’s situation, I think we all have to learn. I made a tweet, and Kojo Manuel came to reply, and it is so beautiful. We all understand, but you see, my boy Dan doesn’t watch anyone on the internet and doesn’t care if you are popular or not. He is working in an institution, and that is it.

“Abonko no dey play; you can ask my team members and they will tell you. He is the highest-ranking member, and you have to ask anybody. He knows the ins and out of this Shatta Movement. He’s been with me for years. So if Abonko and I are coming somewhere and you are not part of my team, you have to respect that, and I feel Kojo Manuel did that,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kojo Manuel has responded to Shatta Wale’s apology.

According to the popular MC, he holds no personal grudge against the musician.

“Thank you, One Don. All love here. 4lyf is 4lyf,” Kojo Manuel noted.
