The base monthly compensation for the President of Ghana is set at about GHS 47,277. However, because allowances and benefits associated with the position are included, the overall compensation far exceeds this amount. These benefits usually cover a range of costs, including lodging, transport, and official obligations, bringing the total monthly income to at least GHS 60,000. The presidency offers a number of non-cash benefits in addition to pay and benefits.

Access to official mansions, government cars, first-rate medical treatment, and comprehensive security services are a few of these. Significant domestic and foreign travel benefits are another perk of the presidency that can significantly increase the whole package. The President of Ghana receives perks and allowances that greatly enhance the financial rewards of the position, even though the base pay may seem minimal when compared to other high-ranking politicians.

The president of Ghana, for example, receives the largest total remuneration package in the nation’s public sector, along with extra benefits like free official housing and state-sponsored services.Top government officials’ compensation is reviewed by the Ghanaian Parliament, which has the authority to approve and periodically modify this salary system. In order to ensure the efficient performance of presidential tasks, the Office of the President receives a larger budgetary allocation that includes the pay and allowances. This allocation usually amounts to millions of cedis every year.
