Royal Mama is a Ghanaian gospel artiste

Emma Aboagye-Poku, known as “Royal Mama,” has won the Gospel Artiste of the Year award at the 6th edition of the Ghana Music Awards United States of America (USA), solidifying her position as one of Ghana’s fastest-rising gospel artistes.

The evening event, which took place on August 16, 2025, at ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City, New Jersey, honored both native Ghanaian artists and musicians living abroad, particularly in the USA.

One of the top honors, “Gospel Artiste of the Year,” went to Royal Mama.

This win marks a milestone in Royal Mama’s career, breaking a record with her fourth music award at the Ghana Music Awards USA.

However, her consistency and talent have earned her recognition in the music industry.

She expressed gratitude to her manager and husband, Richard Aboagye-Poku; the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Adom congregation; and Team Royal’s friends and family.
