Prophet Kofi Oduro Criticises Celebrities for Flaunting Luxury Cars, Calls It “Vanity”

In a fiery sermon, Prophet Kofi Oduro, the General Overseer of Alabaster International Ministries, criticized celebrities and individuals who flaunt their luxury vehicles on social media, labeling the act vain and spiritually misguided.

The renowned clergyman, known for his bold and uncompromising stance on moral and spiritual issues, urged his congregation to prioritise their faith over material possessions.

During his sermon, which was shared widely on social media, Prophet Oduro expressed strong disapproval of what he described as the “worship of luxury,” particularly high-end cars like Rolls-Royces.

He questioned the obsession with such vehicles, stating that they are merely made of “metal and foam” and hold no real value in the grand scheme of life.

“I showed my daughter cars such as the Lamborghini Urus, Rolls-Royce Spectre, and others… Rolls-Royce is rubbish. It is made of metal and foam—nothing else. Yet, people in this country are worshipping cars. Anyone who owns these cars and becomes arrogant is not wise, and I am serious about this,” he declared.

Prophet Oduro did not mince words as he criticised those who own extravagant cars and display them arrogantly, rather than embracing humility.

He called out the growing trend of materialism, particularly among celebrities, and warned against the dangers of pride and vanity.

“Calm down, for everything is vanity upon vanity. If any man should boast about something, it should be about how they know Christ and their willingness to serve Him, no matter the situation,” he added.

The clergyman’s message resonated with many of his followers, who took to social media to express their support for his stance. However, his comments also sparked debate, with some arguing that owning luxury items is not inherently wrong as long as one remains humble and grateful.
