Nearly 100 teenagers were forced to flee an illegal party after neighbours called in riot police.

Victoria Police officers were called to a home on Powerscout Retreat in Cranbourne, east Melbourne, about 11pm on Friday night.

It’s understood a group of teenagers had rented an Airbnb using a fake ID and the address was leaked online.

Neighbours told 7News several cars full of teenagers flooded the home.

‘Just a non-stop wave of people coming along and swarming into the house,’ Adam Thomson said.

‘Whole carloads. It wasn’t just one or two. It was all at once from everywhere,’ Ash Vale said.

As more gatecrashers arrived, damage to the property worsened.

The home had been recently painstakingly renovated as its owners were in preparations to sell it.

Up to 80 teenagers trashed a home during a party at an Airbnb in Cranbourne on Friday night (pictured are teenagers stealing a TV)

The owners have instead been left with a bill for thousands of dollars worth of damage.

Photos and footage from the scene showed windows broken, a fly screen thrown onto the roof and furniture tipped over.

‘They’ve even pinched the TV. The TV’s gone. We watched that run down the street,’ Mr Thomson said.

Dozens of teenagers were seen fleeing as officers arrived at the scene.

‘Multiple police units, including members from the Public Order Response Team, deployed to the property,’ Victoria Police said in a statement.

‘The youths were dispersed and officers remained in the area for some time.

    ‘The house was extensively damaged.’

The worried owner of the Airbnb had driven to the house but was unable to leave their vehicle due to the chaotic scene and concerns for their own safety.

They instead parked down the street and waited for officers to clear the crowd before inspecting the heartbreaking damage to their house.

Despite the large police response, no arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV/dashcam footage or any further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
