Phelipe Lyks Wangyims, a close friend of Ghanaian UK-based musician Reggie Zippy made some troubling revelation him on Thursday, July 17, 2025.

According to a post of Phelipe seen on his Facebook wall by zionfelix.net, his attempt to wish Reggie Zippy a belated birthday yesterday quickly got him worried when he couldn’t reach him.

He explained that after realizing he had forgotten to call Reggie on his birthday, he later tried contacting him in the evening, but both of Reggy’s phones were switched off.

Phelipe went on to say that he initially thought that the “Virgin” hitmaker might have been spending time with his girlfriend, Afia Broni, however, that was not the case the Afia lady herself also mentioned she was equally looking for him.

He finally revealed it dawned on him to contact the police and after he did, he discovered that Reggie Zippy had been arrested.

The reason, as detailed in his post, stemmed from a complaint made by Reggie’s ex-wife, Edith Ward, who accused him of violating a Non-Molestation Order from a Facebook post Reggy made, which Edith reportedly interpreted as being directed at her.

    See his post below…

Since 2023, Reggie has been vocal about how he has struggled to see his children, claiming his ex-wife has denied him access since Christmas Day 2022. He has openly accused Edith of turning their children against him and manipulating the legal system to isolate him.

Despite brief moments of family reconciliation in late 2024, including co-parenting during their daughter Dior’s 10th birthday and spending Boxing Day together, it appears tensions behind closed doors remain unresolved.
