Heart-wrenching scenes unfolded on Monday night, November 3, 2025, as players of Radnički 1923 collapsed to the ground in tears after learning about the death of their head coach, Mladen Žižović.

Mladen who collapsed during the game passed away moments after being rushed to the hospital.

The 44-year-old had suddenly collapsed near the bench during the first half of their league match, prompting frantic medical attention before being taken away by ambulance.

The game briefly continued, but when word reached the stadium that Žižović had died en route, emotions overwhelmed everyone on the field.

Referee Jovan Šegrt immediately brought the match to an end. Players stood motionless, disbelief written across their faces, before grief took over.

Some dropped to their knees, others wept uncontrollably, while a few walked off the pitch unable to process the news.

On the Radnički bench, members of the backroom staff embraced each other in silence. Others buried their faces in their hands, shaking as they tried to come to terms with the loss of a man they had worked beside just minutes earlier.
