A wealthy Utah mom accused of murdering her husband after revealing her affair has moaned that the court system is ruining her life.

Jennifer Gledhill, 41, allegedly shot husband Matthew Johnson at their $1 million Cottonwood Heights home in September after an evening of whiskey-fueled sex.

The accused killer stood next to her attorney Friday as he angrily accused a judge of trying to ‘set everything she loves on fire’ by refusing to let her contact her three children.

‘My client’s already lost her liberty at this point in time,’ Gledhill’s attorney said.

‘It feels like the state, and the city, the police agency that investigated this, are trying to set everything that my client loves on fire.’

Jennifer Gledhill, 41, is accused of shooting her husband Matthew Johnson dead at their $1million home. She has now moaned about the legal system ‘blowing up her life’ by refusing to let her contact the children whose father she allegedly murdered

She’s alleged to have buried Johnson in a shallow grave after getting her parents to help her clean up the scene, with cops yet to discover his body.

Gledhill says she should be allowed to contact her offspring because they’re not victims in the case, Fox13 reported.

The alleged murderess – who stared stonily throughout Friday’s hearing – argued that an earlier no-contact order was ‘incorrectly placed and allowed.’

Judge Adam Mow agreed and rescinded it – but immediately imposed a different order that continues to ban Gledhill from contacting her children, who are 11, 7 and 5.

Jennifer Gledhill is yet to confess to killing her husband Matthew Johnson

Thomas Gledhill, 71, and Rosalie Christianson Gledhill, 67, have both been arrested over claims they helped their daughter cover-up the murder of her husband

Mow said that as the case proceeds he may amend the order.

Last week police revealed that witnesses saw Gledhill’s parents Thomas and Rosalie Gledhill cleaning her house for five hours following the alleged murder, with her mom suspected of buying a new mattress for her daughter.

Detectives believe Johnson was killed on the old mattress, which subsequently disappeared and has not been found. Blood stains were reportedly found underneath Gledhill’s bed when a search warrant was executed on September 28.

Thomas and Rosalie had been caring for Gledhill and Johnson’s children, with social services yet to say where the youngsters are now staying.

Police allege Gledhill shot her National Guardsman husband Matthew Johnson in the head last month as he slept at their spacious property in Cottonwood.

Johnson was reported missing on September 23, with Gledhill arrested after her unnamed lover told police that she’d told him about killing her husband.

Gledhill, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail last week for murder and obstruction of justice after her husband vanished

In a police interview after her October 3 arrest, Gledhill claimed to have separated from Johnson – only to spend the evening of September 20 talking and drinking liquor with him.

Gledhill said they then had intercourse that night, and ‘informed (the officer) due to the intoxication from the whiskey she had a hard time recalling the events that took place after her and Matthew had sex’, the search warrant said.

Gledhill said Johnson ‘became upset’ during their evening together, but could not recall why.

But she went on to offer conflicting excuses for bruises found on her body, it is claimed.

Gledhill, 41, reportedly admitted to shooting her husband in the head as he slept at their $1million Cottonwood Heights home last month

Gledhill told cops Johnson ‘struck her several times’ with a closed fist, leaving her bruised on her arms, hands, face and legs.

Her secret lover – whose name has not been released – says Jennifer told him she got the bruises ‘from moving Matthew’s body and cleaning the mess in the house.’

The man contacted police after Gledhill allegedly confessed to the murder, which led to her arrest.

Asked by one cop why she did not report her husband’s alleged domestic excuse, Gledhill claimed to have ‘made a deal’ with him.

She is said to have had a ‘long history of calling the police on Matthew for non criminal altercations.’

Matthew Johnson is said to have been shot in the head as he slept. His wife allegedly confessed to a friend that she had dumped his body in a shallow grave

Gledhill told cops that they’d agreed he’d return to work at Camp Williams State Military Reservation the night after they had sex.

The alleged murderess says the first she knew of Johnson’s disappearance was a message from his co-workers saying he hadn’t made it into work.

But her lover offered an alternative version of events.

He claims Gledhill told him that she’d shot Johnson in the head as he slept.

She is then said to have put his body in an attic store container, before sliding it down the stairs and into the back of her minivan.

Gledhill allegedly smashed Johnson’s phone and drove his truck to another area of their estate before driving his body north and burning him in a shallow grave.
