Experienced tactician Nurudeen Ahmed will head the U-19 Boys National Team as the new head coach of the side.

Nurudeen, who is currently the head coach of Ghana Premier League side Karela United FC, will lead the technical team as preparations begin for the next cycle of youth competitions.

Coach Nurudeen is widely respected in Ghanaian football, having guided Samraboi-based FC Samartex 1996 to their historic first-ever Ghana Premier League title in the 2023/24 season.

His coaching journey has also seen him manage King Faisal FC and Aduana Stars, establishing a reputation for developing young talent and building competitive teams.

Supporting him in his new role will be Abubakar Adams, head coach of PAC Academy, who comes in as Assistant Coach, alongside former Ghana Premier League goal-king and ex-Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe, who will also serve as Athletic Coach.

The U-19 technical setup further includes former Hearts of Oak, King Faisal, and Dreams FC striker Eric Gawu as the Equipment Officer. PAC Academy’s Stephen Ekow Davies will serve as the Goalkeepers’ Coach, while Fatawu Mohammed serves as the Welfare Officer.

The medical department of the team will be led by Dr Yusif Andani, who will serve as Team Doctor, with Prince Deku taking up the role of Physiotherapist to ensure the players’ physical readiness.

The appointment of Coach Nurudeen Ahmed and his backroom staff forms part of the GFA’s broader strategy to strengthen its youth national teams and create a clear pathway for nurturing future stars of Ghanaian football.
