Novak Djokovic battled past a tenacious Flavio Cobolli to secure a record-breaking 14th Wimbledon semi-final appearance, setting the stage for a blockbuster clash with world number 1 Jannik Sinner on July 9, 2025.

The Serbian maestro chasing an eighth Wimbledon title showcased his trademark resilience on Centre Court, overcoming the spirited Italian in a gripping encounter.

Djokovic, 38, weathered an early storm from Cobolli, whose aggressive baseline play tested the seven-time champion’s defensive prowess.

However, the Serbian’s experience and unrelenting precision prevailed as he clinched the victory in 2hours and 15 minutes of intense tennis.

“I have to give credit to Flavio; he came out firing and made me work for every point,” Djokovic said post-match.

The semi-final matchup against Sinner the Australian Open champion, promises to be a thrilling contest.

Sinner, the 23-year-old, has been in scintillating form, adding extra intrigue to the encounter.

Djokovic’s record-extending 14th Wimbledon semi-final underscores his enduring dominance on grass, as he continues his quest to match Roger Federer’s tally of eight men’s singles titles at the All-England Club.

With Sinner standing in his way, fans are braced for a clash of generations that could define this year’s Championships.

The semi-final is scheduled for July 11, 2025, on Centre Court.
