Prophet Nigel Gaisie has stated that if given the opportunity, he would personally advocate for a reduction in the prison sentence of Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Agradaa or Evangelist Mama Pat.
The Founder and Leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel made the remark during an interview on Aluta FM, where he addressed rumours that he had been lobbying for Agradaa’s release from prison
According to him, there is nothing wrong with showing compassion to someone going through a difficult time, even if others disagreed with his actions.
The Crimes and Their Sentences: Breakdown of Nana Agradaa’s judgement
Nigel Gaisie explained that he recently visited Agradaa at Nsawam Prison, and his intention was to pray with her and offer encouragement.
He made it clear that while he had not officially requested her release, he would gladly do so if the chance presented itself.
“Is Agradaa not a child of God? Someone’s enemy is not mine. They should leave me. Agradaa is a minister of God. Yes, I went to visit Agradaa, and I would go there again to visit her for that matter if I get the chance. Agradaa is not my enemy,” he said.
Prophet Gaisie went on to mention that his willingness to advocate for Agradaa’s release or reduced sentence was rooted in humanity.
“If I get the opportunity, I will do it. You know why I will do it? Because she is a fellow human being, and I will do it for any other person, granted I have the opportunity,” he added.
In July, 2025, televangelist Nana Agradaa was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment with hard labour after being found guilty on three counts of defrauding by false pretenses and charlatanic advertisement.
