A leading NFL Draft analyst has made a shocking claim that there is one team in the league that every single college prospect is desperate to avoid this year.
With the regular season now over, the league’s elite teams are preparing to do battle in the post-season, while the rest are turning their attention to April’s draft.
Among the leading college prospects in the draft is Oregon signal caller Dante Moore, who is projected to be a top-2 quarterback in three months time.
Indiana‘s Fernando Mendoza is likely to be the first overall pick, which has been claimed by the Raiders, but Moore is expected to follow shortly after.
The New York Jets will have the second overall pick and will likely be interested in Moore – however, the college star has now been urged to avoid Aaron Glenn’s team.
Analyst and commentator Todd McShay suggested that Moore’s representatives should reach out to the Raiders and find out if they are willing to draft him and, if not, the quarterback should head back to Oregon instead of joining the Jets.
Analyst Todd McShay has revealed the team that college prospects are desperate to avoid
McShay said that college prospects should look to avoid the struggling New York Jets
McShay said: ‘If you’re representing Dante Moore, with the Raiders, you know you have an organization steep in history with an owner whose father is entrenched in the great history of the NFL. They’re trying to do the right thing – misguided at times – and it brings in Tom Brady, who can be a source of helping.
‘Would you or would you not, as the rep for Dante Moore, reach out to the Raiders and say, “Hey, my client’s trying to make a decision. We can live with going to 30 of 32 teams. Maybe it’s 31. But I can’t allow him go to the New York Jets”.
Continuing from the perspective of Moore’s rep, McShay said: ‘I can allow my client to go back to Oregon and have another season with a new offensive coordinator. Or you can promise me he’ll be number one overall pick. Is that so far-fetched?
He continued: ‘He has an opportunity to go back to Oregon and probably make the same amount of money that he would make his rookie contract.
‘I promise you, not one single player in this draft wants to be a New York Jet.’
The warning comes after a truly catastrophic season for the Jets, who finished bottom of the AFC East with a woeful 3-14 record.

Under head coach Aaron Glenn, the Jets produced a defensive campaign for the history books – for all the wrong reasons. Notably, the unit failed to record a single interception all season.
Meanwhile, their struggles at quarterback have left frustrated fans clamoring for the team to land a new signal-caller in the draft, to act as a savior for the franchise.
After arriving at Oregon, Moore spent the 2024 season on th4e sidelines and behind veteran Dillon Gabriel as the Ducks made their Big Ten debut.
Handed the keys to the offense in 2025, Moore enjoyed stunning breakout campaign, throwing for 3,046 yards and 28 touchdowns while leading Oregon to the College Football Playoff.
