The founder and leader of the Anointed Palace Chapel (APC), Reverend Obofour, has lauded the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their humility and respectfulness, qualities he believes were instrumental in their political triumph and will sustain their dominance in Ghana’s political landscape.
Reverend Obofour made these remarks during a youth thanksgiving service organized by the NDC, where he delivered a spirited address highlighting the importance of servant leadership.
“Humility and respect are virtues that build trust and ensure longevity in governance. Leaders who serve their people with these qualities will always remain relevant and impactful,” Reverend Obofour stated during his sermon.
He contrasted the NDC’s approach with the arrogance displayed by certain political figures, suggesting that such attitudes alienate leaders from the electorate and often result in electoral losses.
This perspective aligns with his previous commentary following the 2024 general elections, where he criticized politicians whose perceived arrogance led to their defeat.
The respected clergyman further emphasized the role of NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama in the party’s success.
He attributed their 2024 general election victory to Mahama’s humility, which resonated with voters and demonstrated a connection with the needs and aspirations of the populace.
“John Dramani Mahama’s humility is the reason the NDC won the 2024 elections. He exemplified the kind of leadership that Ghanaians long for—one that is grounded in respect and service,” Reverend Obofour remarked.
The thanksgiving service was attended by a host of NDC supporters, party executives, and prominent figures, who celebrated their electoral success while reflecting on the principles that guided their victory.
