Prophet Fire Oja prophecied about Black Sherif

Every December 31, Christians across Ghana gather in churches for an all-night service to pray and cross over into the new year with faith and hope.

It was during one of these watch night services, on December 31, 2024, that Ghanaian prophet Fire Oja made a prophecy about one of Ghana’s musicians, Black Sherif.

On that night, Fire Oja told his congregation that it had been revealed to him that the musician would no longer produce a hit song.

According to the prophet, his vision showed that colleagues in the music industry were working against Black Sherif, and he warned that this would lead to a decline in the young artiste’s career.

However, in the months that followed, Black Sherif not only released a hit song, but also dropped an entire album, Iron Boy, which has dominated charts on almost every streaming platform.

The project has become a street anthem, with several songs making waves in Ghana and beyond.

In an interview on Onua FM on August 8, 2025, Prophet Fire Oja addressed the public’s reaction to his prophecy.

He explained that situations like this are the reason some prophets choose to keep certain revelations to themselves, as they often face mockery and disrespect, particularly from the youth.

Fire Oja insisted that his prophecy about Black Sherif remains valid, even though the musician is currently enjoying massive success.

He added that after the release of Iron Boy, many people began calling him a fake prophet because the outcome appeared to contradict his words.

“The reason some preachers avoid discussing certain prophecies is that, if there were an imminent incident they could intercede for, many Ghanaians, especially the youth, do not respect prophetic ministry. They tend to disrespect you without hesitation.

My prophecy about Black Sherif has not changed; it is still hanging in the air. I prophesied that something would happen to his career, leading to a point where he would be unheard of. I advised him that if he wanted to continue being popular, he should seek guidance from some powerful men of God.

However, after the prophecy, Black Sherif released a project that became a hit, and now everyone is singing his song. As a result, some people in Ghana have called me fake, claiming my prophecy did not come to pass as I mentioned,” Fire Oja stated.
