Ghanaian-American Afrofusion artiste Moliy has unveiled her latest single, “Shake It to the Max,” a song that has already taken the internet by storm with nearly a million user-generated videos on TikTok.

The track is a celebration of empowerment, carefree vibes, and feminine energy, urging listeners to embrace their individuality and confidence. Its infectious rhythm encourages everyone to let loose, live in the moment, and exude feminine power and sensuality.

The song features Afrobeat rhythms complemented by a strong percussive groove, modern synths, melodic hooks, and a groovy bassline. Its mid-tempo pace makes it versatile for various settings, while the clean mix and dynamic production ensure it stays engaging and fresh.

Moliy, born Molly Ama Montgomery, blends her signature smooth yet powerful delivery with a mix of English and African slang (Pidgin), adding cultural richness and broad appeal. Her artistry shines through in “Shake It to the Max,” which fuses playfulness with empowerment, rooted in Afrobeat yet embracing a forward-thinking, global sound.

Moliy first rose to prominence with her contribution to the global hit song “Sad Girls Luv Money,” a collaboration with Amaarae and Kali Uchis. The track debuted at number 80 on the US Billboard Hot 100, cementing her status as a rising force in the global music scene. She has since worked on notable projects such as Weight on My Shoulder (W.O.M.S) with Libianca, No Fear with Vic Mensa, and Prisoner with P.Prime.

Born and raised in Accra, Ghana, and later spending her adult life in Florida, Moliy’s diverse cultural experiences heavily influence her music. She seamlessly blends West African highlife and Afrobeats rhythms with vibrant melodies and global influences, creating a distinctive Afrofusion sound.

“Shake It to the Max” solidifies Moliy’s position as a trailblazer in the Afro-fusion genre, uniting listeners through dance, joy, and a shared sense of empowerment.
